Features of The Automatic Scheduler

Choice of Automatic Schedule Generation Methods:

  • Schedule forward from user defined Project Start Date or
  • Schedule backward from user defined Project End Date

When calculating task dates, the scheduler will observe the following:

  • Avoids holidays, non-work days, and non-work hours specified in task Calendars
  • Resource loading specified in task resource assignments. Example: A 50% resource assignment for a task takes twice as long to complete as 100%.
  • Obeys any of the ten task constraints used (e.g. must start on constraint date, must finish on constraint date, etc.)
  • A task's predecessors and their link type and lead/lag value (e.g. Finish to Start, Finish to Finish, etc.)

Calculates and sets the following data fields for each task:

  • Plan Start and Finish dates,
  • Early Start and Finish dates,
  • Late Start and Finish dates,
  • task duration (calendar duration)
  • Slack (Float)
  • Critical path flag for each task

Safety Feature

  • Will not reschedule or change tasks that have started or finished.
